My good friend Kristie is always posting yummy recipes on her website. I figured since the New Year is approaching fast, and so are my resolutions, this might be my last chance to post one of my favorite, simple chocolate chip cookie recipes.
Hershey’s Classic Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies
First you will need:
1 c butter, 3/4 c granulated sugar, 3/4 c packed light brown sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 2 eggs, 2 1/4 c flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 c Hershey’s chocolate chips
Heat oven to 375
Beat butter, both sugars, and vanilla in a large bowl until creamy.
Add eggs, beat well
Stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by round teaspoons onto well greased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes.
I was able to get 5 dozen out of this recipe.
And last, but not least, thank you all for your sweet comments on my picture I did with Austin. Y’all are too kind!
And Plainmama – I used Pioneer Woman’s PW’s B&W action on that picture.
Just a quick picture of me & my 10 year old DS Austin. I don’t have any pictures of me at all. So my goal is to get some nice b&w’s of me with each boy.
And ugh to my fly away hair!Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( 6 so far )
I found a way to stick to my diet in the new year. Fake food!
Seriously, this is one of the most played with Christmas presents in our house. Even the big boys (13 & 10) pretend to make, sell and eat McDonald’s play food.Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( 3 so far )
Yep, 2 post from me today! Must me a Christmas miracle. LOL
The boys made gingerbread men today. It was a lot easier than the house that is for sure. And now they have desert for tonight. LOL
And last, but not least, a picture of our tree. This is the best picture I could get. I seriously think it’s because of the colored lights. Next year we are SO doing white lights!

My little boys (Alex is 5 and Maddox is 2) colored some ornaments for the tree yesterday. The thing I like most is how Alex wrote his S backwards. I will cherish that forever because I know just how fast they do grow up.
Alex hard at work…
Maddox’s chuby little hands…
The finished product…

The Daily Click has had some beautiful post of Christmas ornaments lately. Being the daughter of an avid sticher there were 2 cross stitched ornament that really stuck out to me. Those inspired me to take a picture of one of the cross stitched ornaments that my Mom made for Maddox this year. He is really into Toy Story, so she made him a Woody ornament. The only problem is he keeps asking where Buzz is. Do you hear that Mom???
And this is a simple picture of my nativity set. My Aunt-In-Law made one for her daughter the first Christmas I was part of the family. I totally freaked out about it. The next year when it was time for everyone to draw names she made sure she got my name. Little did I know she started working on my nativity set before she even had my name. It truly is a cherished item and I love it just as much today as I did the day she gave it to me. :0)
And if I don’t see you soon I wish you and your family a fantastic Holiday!Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( 5 so far )
Alex & I made cookies yesterday! He loves to tell me that he is my big helper (which is true!)
Please, if you have any CC let me have it! I am trying so hard to learn. This was taken with my 50mm. The settings are ISO 400, f 1.8, SS 100. I know that my aperture and shutter a little low, but the light in my kitchen is AWFUL!Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( 5 so far )
I have a thing for sock monkey’s. I tried to pass it off as being Maddox’s thing, but in all reality it is mine. But poor Maddox is the one who has to put up with it. So here I am confessing – it is ME with the sock monkey obsession and not my poor little baby.
