Last week on this very day my kids had a 2 hour delay due to our 1 inch of snow. LOL
Today the high is 77 and we are all in shorts. I am trying to not get use to it though. They are calling for freezing rain in just 2 more days. 😦

Where have I been you ask. Well DH decided on Sunday night that he wanted to take Window’s Vista off the PC and put on XP. When I asked him if I would still have everything his responce was “Sure you will”. Yeah, um, 4 days later I am still sitting here without email, CS4, or LR 2. But he has his iTunes working that’s for sure!
So until I get my stuff working I guess I am taking a little break. 😦
I hope to be back soon.Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( 4 so far )

No, I don’t live at Toys R Us.
If you don’t hear from me for a few days it’s because I got lost in this PIT!
Seriously, this is only 2 of my kids room. Do you think they are spoiled? Um yeah, I think so as well.Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( 4 so far )
Sorry I have been neglecting my poor little blog this week. I am just in one of thos blah moods.
The theme for the blog this week was “show us your town”. That is hard for me because I live in the country. So here are some country views for ya!
And this is the view outside my front door.
You can tell whey they are called the Blue Ridge Mountains in this picture.

Can you figure it out by the picture?
My resolution is to learn how to ROCK my camera! LOL Well that is at least one resolution I have this year.
And for those of you wondering, the pink binder on the bottom is FULL of lessons and tutorials that I have yet to do.
First off, Happy New Year everyone!
This is me and my Alex. He is my 3rd son. Alex holds a very special place in my heart. It took DH and I 4 years and one loss to get pregnant with Alex. And while he is likely the reason I have a few gray hairs, he can also be the sweetest boy. Every morning I will ask Alex what he dreamed about the night before. Without fail the answer is “loving on you”. He is also telling me all the time “you are the best Mom I have ever seen”. OK, how does that not melt your heart? I really cherish my Alex so much. I have no clue what I am going to do without him when he starts kindergarten next year.
Also, I have to tell you that Alex is really a 16 year old rockin’ boy stuck in a 5 year old boys body. That is why he has to wear the backwards baseball hat. If he takes it off he is cute and will cry. This ontop of Alex’s adult drum set that his Grandpa got him makes my house a wild place!Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( 4 so far )
My good friend Kristie is always posting yummy recipes on her website. I figured since the New Year is approaching fast, and so are my resolutions, this might be my last chance to post one of my favorite, simple chocolate chip cookie recipes.
Hershey’s Classic Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies
First you will need:
1 c butter, 3/4 c granulated sugar, 3/4 c packed light brown sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 2 eggs, 2 1/4 c flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 c Hershey’s chocolate chips
Heat oven to 375
Beat butter, both sugars, and vanilla in a large bowl until creamy.
Add eggs, beat well
Stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by round teaspoons onto well greased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes.
I was able to get 5 dozen out of this recipe.
And last, but not least, thank you all for your sweet comments on my picture I did with Austin. Y’all are too kind!
And Plainmama – I used Pioneer Woman’s PW’s B&W action on that picture.
Just a quick picture of me & my 10 year old DS Austin. I don’t have any pictures of me at all. So my goal is to get some nice b&w’s of me with each boy.
And ugh to my fly away hair!Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( 6 so far )
I found a way to stick to my diet in the new year. Fake food!
Seriously, this is one of the most played with Christmas presents in our house. Even the big boys (13 & 10) pretend to make, sell and eat McDonald’s play food.Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( 3 so far )
