His face is always covered with dirt. I don’t know what it is about this child.

I am back!
I had kind of fallen out of love with taking pictures. I have very little self confidence, and after seeing some of the wonderful pictures my blog friends take I just put down my camera for a while. But now I am back. Hopefully you won’t all scare the you-know-what out of me with your talent again!
And while I know that these new pictures look fuzzy on here, they don’t IRL. I had the printed and everything and they look fine. Who knows what I am doing wrong on here.
I hate that I cut Maddox’s feet off in this picture.
This picture shows the true Maddox.
My Andrew. He will be starting 8th grade in August,
and turns 14 in September. One year from now it will be drivers ed.
My Austin. He just graduated 5th grade and will be starting
middle school in August. I am proud to say that Austin went his
entire elementary school career making straight A’s!
(And also correcting my spelling on this post – LOL)
My feeling is if we aren’t going to get any snow then PLEASE let us have spring already!
Tulips are my favorite flower. My sweet little Alex, who is 5, is always telling me that I smell like a tulip. :0)Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( 4 so far )
So I have kind of fallen off the blogging band wagon. 😦
But I am BACK! And not only am I back, but I have some new toys as well. I got a speedlite which I am having a love hate relationship with. LOL But my new “baby” is my beautiful, amazing 28-75 lens. I can not believe that I had 2nd thoughts about getting this lens!
Here are a few recents of my guys.
I love this expression on Alex. It just cracks me up!
I promise I won’t stay away this long ever again!
I found the PERFECT template for Alex’s Valentine’s Day card on Two Peas. Next I have to do Maddox’s. That WON’T be easy! lol

There is nothing in this world that my son Alex (5 yrs) loves more than drums. I honestly think that if asked Alex would choose his drums over his mom even!
Alex has had MANY sets of toy drums. But toy drums just won’t cut it for my rock star. He bangs on them so hard (just like his hero Travis Barker) that he has broken ever single set. So when my Dad came across these used drums he knew just who to give them to. At first I didn’t see a problem with them, but I never knew just how loud they would be!
Anyway, I knew that I had to get some pictures of Alex with his true love. They might not be technically “perfect”, but they are to me!

Here I am with baby #4.
He is holding the remote for the camera, but it was the only way I could get the little snot to look at the camera. Oh, and I can’t clone it out because I stink at cloning.

There are just a few things he can’t seem to do. We have been together for almost 15 years (OMG has it really been that long???) and these things are starting to get on my nerves. And not only can he not do these things, but it seems his children (our sons) can’t do them either. It’s making me think that they are things only women can do. I am trying to look at this in a positive light. And how can it be positive? Well I can make these things the subject of my photos for blog entries. LOL
The first entry with this theme is
Men can’t pick up their washcloths out of the bath tub.
And FTR – this is my anything goes post for our 52 week challenge.Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( 7 so far )
OK, here is my 2nd Two Peas lesson. This is part 1, Shutter Speed. The camera was set on shutter priority mode.
What did we learn?
1. A higher shutter speed will take the picture faster. The slower the shutter speed the slower the camera takes the picture.
2. A higher shutter speed is good for fast moving objects (like my kids LOL).Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( 5 so far )
